Description

Explore Xochimilco in a different way: in a cayuco where a local person will paddle for you, taking you on a journey in direct contact with nature. Paddle through the canals while the sun appears on the horizon, observe the local fauna and learn about the ancestral agricultural system of the chinampas. Finish the experience with an organic breakfast grown in the same area.

Itinerary

  1. Mexico City — 4:30 a.m.
    Pickup at your hotel or meeting point in Mexico City.
  2. Xochimilco Ecological Reserve — 5:30 a.m.
    Arrival at the Xochimilco Ecological Reserve and preparation for the cayuco tour.
  3. Cayuco Tour — 6:00 a.m.
    Sunrise cayuco tour, including wildlife and plant observation.
  4. Traditional Chinampa — 7:30 a.m.
    Visit to a chinampa to learn about the agricultural production system.
  5. Organic breakfast — 8:30 a.m.
    Organic breakfast featuring local products.
  6. Return by cayuco — 11:00 a.m.
    Return by cayuco to the starting point.
  7. End of the tour — 12:00 p.m.
    End of the tour and return to Mexico City.
